    Hi there,

With very due respect to all of the Team members of Digital Point Forums. I have been using this forum for years and find this place as my homepage always.

For the last few months, there are some very harsh rules, as whenever I try to reply somebody or reply for my business, I start getting infraction. Please don;t tell me to read rules as I have read them already.

I want to give iTrader for a successful transaction, and for iTrader I need some thread reference. If I never posted on that thread, how would I be able to give that? and when I try to make a reply, every time I get the infraction.

Please, try to make these rules soft for the users, especially who have reached more than 500 Posts, having good iTrader rating, and have got years of relation with you.

I hope, this time you will read this thread with cool mind.

Hope, I would be able to continue my business online.

(I am attaching a Poll with this thread for the moderators to see that what audience say about these rules.)

You do not have to post in a thread to leave itrader. You do have to have made a deal with the thread starter.

This one got me infractions before too. I only then came to realize on my own that I just needed to keep track of the threads I was dealing with. The subscriptions work for that, but they are hard to manage when on auto-subscribe. Maybe try to get in the habit of clicking subscribe on the threads you are interested in, as/before you start dealing with the OP. Then you have a reference point to look up the thread URL without asking the OP. I'm still working on this one, but at least I know now I just need to find the thread again, and all you need to know is the person's username + search threads started by.
    Cheers.

You can also create custom subscription folders to track stuff separately if you want.

I get infractions a ton, but I get them for a reason most of the time, lol.
Like if I posted in the wrong place (Which even though I think it's right, I get infracted)

Anyways, It would suck to get banned here for me. :)

the problem is that rules are so complex and unclear that you never know what you ll get infraction for.
Senior members can do almost everything, so they don't know what they are doing to do newbies around here :)))))

    Cheers

I know right, the rules honestly are very general that it is so hard to know when you're doing something wrong.
Although I do keep in mind what I did to get infractions for, that way when I do it again - I can expect one coming, or I can avoid doing it altogether. Seems to work.

But really, sometimes I think the mods are trying to drive us mad. When I try to be complex in fear of getting infractions, I end up getting them instead.

I once shared a prank call YouTube video under "Entertainment" (coz isn't that what it's for?), & I got an infraction coz it belonged under "General Chat". Driving us mad I tell ya! :p

Kind of a biased poll, isn't it? Where's the option for tar and feathering? Or even a "It's too soft? option"

I'm with theapparatus... you're missing the "too soft" button. True in a few areas at least.

Long as rules are written down, readily available, and routinely and consistently enforced... it can only be helpful for members that take the time to read them and make the effort to follow them.

Granted, rules are for the benefit of the all concerned and shouldnt be enforced if a mod sees a rare reason where an exception is the logical route, but that's where having good people in place to make judgment calls makes the difference. Bottom line we all agreed to follow the rules when we signed on, so it makes no sense to bellyache about them being enforced.

I think the rules are nice, but the way that in the Buy or Sell section, that when you post a thread that is under $5, goes in freebies?
Freebies obviously means it's free. But $5 isn't free.
I'm not sure why that's a rule.

Thanks Shawn, I didn't realize that one yet. Much appreciated.

I till think we should have a reform school where people can earn points to count against their infractions by doing good deeds and reviewing the rules... I think it could work.

Ohk, thats what I learnt today..! And thanks to all of you to be so responsive.

Just one more thing, can we give iTrader on the sales of less than $5 ..as they are not going to Free Section. I think we would not be... :(

    Regards..!!

Itrader is not for freebies (deals of $5.00 or less) or link exchanges. System programmed so you can not give in those aread.
