I agree completely. People who barely speak English here usually don't contribute anything, anyway. (Extremely dumb questions about PageRank, etc)
Finally! I found a thread that has been lingering around my head for some time. My english is bad and give infraction to me? Please no im will do better next posts. LOL Giving an infraction for me I think is, kind of discriminating for those who really try and pull the extra effort just to make sense in their posts. Some people however that is posting bad English and is just doing it so that his or her post count will go up then you guys MUST receive a yellow card! In severe cases, a red card is not so bad and that person must be pulled out from the game.
I think this is the most appropriate suggestion, I agree that if people are using bad english and posting crap on this forum then we should give at least 2 warning to the person, and then if he still continues to use the bad english then we could ban the person for some specific period.
I thought these people were just bots who compose random sentences from words like "seo" and "marketing" and running the grammar through a garbage disposal.
If they are indeed bots then there are other words that they can generate! Like, yes i agree, yeah right and i agree with (username). Seriously, if you've got nothing else to say aside from just agreeing with what the others have said then please don't post one liners such as what I've shown. SPAM SPAM SPAM and SPAM. That's just what you're trying to do and an infraction is what you're going to get.
I'd say get over it, an infraction for bad english sounds like a punishment from a language schoolteacher or a professor this ain't your university class where you expect moderators to be ur educator & expect them to pluck ur grammatical mistakes and correct them. accept the fact that english isn't the official language by default for every nation and even if that's the case not everyone excels in it.
well i have to say there should be infractions for bad english.this may sound harsh but the method could be polished so that high infraction points are earned on very poor and terrible english.infraction point could be reduced to decimals so that least count decreases and it would be an ease to give very low points.or maybe 100 bad english complaints lead to a infraction point.the mods are more intelligent than me and they can figure out a better way than i have said but what i want to say that there should be some weightage given to this subject.
Just ran a report of all banned users, summed by their country where a single country had more than 100 banned users... Who would have guessed, not a single country on the list is an English speaking country... and India wins (by a lot). [India] => 2369 [China] => 685 [Pakistan] => 546 [Philippines] => 315 [Indonesia] => 282 [Nigeria] => 214 [Vietnam] => 144 [Romania] => 128 [Malaysia] => 124 [Turkey] => 123 [Egypt] => 122
Well suuuure... it looks big when ya put it like that... but when you factor in multiple IDs, that's maybe 30 guys.
Not really when you consider it's not counting the 72,000+ accounts that have been completely removed from the system already for being duplicates.
J/k Shawn... been there / done that / got the t-shirt. Just get weary of the multiple ID fetish that flourishes in some climes.
