Informing a potential buyer their domain is taken by you?

    Hi,

If you just bought a domain of let's say a political candidate name, is it alright to inform him/her that you have the domain and it is for sale? (the email will be as polite as possible of course - and informing him/her how it will be useful for them).

... Or do you think it's better to let them find out for themselves and wait for them to contact you?

If its a political candidate, they will have enough connections to force that domain from your posession and leave you without a profit.

I think contacting the person with such "information" will directly prove bad faith in any eventual dispute for the name.

Just wait for them to find out, for public figures, their lawyers will be contacting you to give up the domain. It aint worth the troubles.
