Hi people. I have a very important matter for me that I wish to discuss you with. I am from romania, born and raised here and I need to get an U.S. bank account without having to go there in person, a bank account that sends a visa card that I can use in Romania and that accepts me as a romanian to open an account. I see a lot of websites that talk about how to make a U.S. bank account but I don't really trust them. Please tell me who is NOT an U.S. citizen and has made a U.S. bank account there, I need feedbacks and names of websites(banks) that can accept me to open an account there without moving myself to the U.S. does anyone know anything about http://www.offshore.hsbc.com ? P.S. the bank account will be used to receive money from diferent means like Adsense or payment processors.
As far as I know citibank does that. http://www.citibank.com/us/index.htm Also they may have a branch in Bucharest/independent of that in US. I was told by Citibank I could do transfers over the internet to another bank outside US. Try it and let us know what happened. Good Luck!
citibank cannot solve my issue, US citibank dosen't support opening an offshore account and the citibank from Romania is useless, it's just like another bank. anything else guys?
Yes, in my country local CitiBank and HSBC branch is only for Business and companies/corporations. I use E*Trade now. they are good and i think i gonna stay with them for a long till i find some US Bank that doesn't need SSN
does E*Trade create an account which I can use to receive money from difernet means? I mean,me being in romania and all...
That depends on who is sending the money, this is a US bank but not every merchant is willing to send money to US bank account who's customer doesn't has SSN.
