I'm working on an infoproduct, and since it's my first one, I'd like some advice on good ways to launch it. They way I'm leaning now is to start it as a blog instead of a sales letter, post for awhile to it, then perhaps try to get a list either from visitors or from PPC, and then swap the blog for the sales letter when it gets some good traffic to it. Any advice?
I think you should take all these below into your consideration when creating your own infoproduct: 1. make sure you have some knowledge on anything you want to sell online. The best thing that you love what you are doing (it could be your hobby). 2. Put together your site and get the bugs out of it. I mean you do pre-launch or a buzz. 3. Keyword research is important. You have to do the keyword research and build your idea around that theme.
I think you should both create a blog and a sales page. Also clickbank is a great channel to have sales.
Yeah, I already have a sales page and I fully intend to join Clickbank. My question is more: what are the steps then? Should I build a list first, or just slap the "Buy Now" button on and then build a list? Should I do a JV? And so on. My first product, creating it and making a sales page were no problem, but now I feel lost as to where to go from here.
Try and put a lead capture box on the sales page. You can generate the code pretty simply with aweber. Get as many jvs as possible to create a launch buzz, and write some articles and submit them to the big directories (ezinearticles, go, searchwarp etc). Another good idea is to hold competitions and give prizes to affiliates with the most sales etc. Keep them updated with a blog and show the scores etc. Stuff like that keeps people interested beyond the initial launch buzz. Hope some of that is useful for you, and good luck!
