I say same ! Dont try only if you have lots of published posts and you get lots of traffic then maybe.
When it comes to PPC try Adsense ....

 

I've tried them and I just got my first payment for $56.
They don't pay a lot but if your site gets like 500´000 visitors a day you could make a living from it.
Some days I get $7 CPM, other days I only get like $1 CPM rates.
