    Does anyone know if .info domains can achieve high google rankings? Let's say I have a good domain, ok content, advertising, etc. Can I make it to the first page for the specific keyword?

    Yes. The TLD has no affect on your ranking (unless you are using country specific TLDs for regional searches)

    I would not be so sure. It's well know e.g. that .edu TLDs have a bigger influence than .com
    It might definitely be used in the algorithm. How is a different question...

    Yes, if your keyword has no competiition on the search engine. Or your keywords are properly select.

    It's not well known at all! It's a much repeated myth. If a .edu page has good content, authority and good backlinks, that is why it will rank well - not because of some boost that the TLD gives. IMO.

    Likewise with .info. If you have everything in place, there is no reason why a .info TLD won't rank as highly as any other TLD.
