    Hey guyz,

Just a quick one but what is the genral opinion about .info domains? Of course .com is the most popular, followed by .net but........I was wondering whether to purchase some .info webs as an investment. Are they coming more and more popular as domains?

I have a friend who deals with domains often (made alot through selling) and after spending a couple of hours online with him (hes just gone actually) advised me to buy .info names. Apparently the fact that info has a meaning (information) makes the domain sound better some some of the older extentions. He thinks they will become as popular as .com and .net in the next year or so. Anyway..what doesn anybody think about this?

Consequently i just purchased the domains "soundup.info" and "fly2u.info"
What do you think about these?

    Cheers guys

The .info extention will never be as popular as a .com or a .net. If you are purchasing something that is informational, the .info extention fits it perfectly. The good thing about this extention, it's cheap, you can pick them up for 99 cents. With the above names, they would be worth reg fee max. I would suggest spending some time reading about what makes a name valuable before rushing out & buying names.

If the site will give informations about something then it give high value for the domain.

I think travel.info sold for $100k - $125k not too long ago... So I believe they will start gaining value... But don't quote me on that :)
