I have a .info domain. I wanted to know that is it okay to continue with it?? Or is it like that .info domains get less ranking or something??

.info is OK, but people who go to your site are more frequently going to type in DOMAIN.com not DOMAIN.info. So its better to have the .com. However if it is already taken, then there's not much you can do.

.com is king, if the .info is a good name keep it but if you can get the same .com I would always go with that.

    Nope.
Just that .com is more common to market . If you able to develop well in SEO , no matter .info or .com you still able to get high PR or high SERP.
If you have another option of getting .com domain with keywords , you may think of point to the new .com domain name because .com domain make your name more easy to remember.

go for .com :) I used to have >200.info domains and and left them all to expire. Because if your samedomainname.info will get direct visitors, then samedomainname.com will get some of them for free. In my opinion .info domains are worthless and if can't get yourdomain.com, then better go for your-domain.com but not yourdomain.info. I have never ever entered in my address bar any .info domain except which used to own. Are you visiting any .info website by entering anywebsite.info to address bar?

.info / .com/ .net / ,org doesn't matter ... all that matters is proper SEO and backlinking

I will give more preference to .com domain as it is internationally recognized and further the end users always prefer to go through .com domain as they consider it more professional than .info domain. Further the price also is the best example of its effectiveness.

It really depends on the name, the site and what your goal is.
If it is a high value keyword, then the .info can be fine. For example, cars.info
If it is a branded site, like Amazon or Google, then you want the .com or the brand is worthless.
For a long tail, high search keyword that you intend to monetize with content and Adsense, then .info could work fine
