I have a few .info's that are #1 at google. The only real issue is that people still prefer .com TLD's. As time moves on I do not think the TLD used will matter as much. good luck.

.info is another TLD it gets the same respect in the software as a .com.

i use .info's alot because they are cheap.. and i haven't had much of a problem until now when my .info isn't indexed yet but it just came out so im still crossing fingers XD

The .info TLD was created for websites to provide information to the internet. Google's jobs is to provide the most relevant, reliable, and truthful websites regarding search terms.

Provide quality information and the search engines will love you. That's Google's job now, isn't it...

I am using .info ext for my affiliate websites and I am converting as good as .com .So...I don't think that there is any issue.

    Good luck.

I have several .info domains that rank on the first page of Google and Yahoo. I find no problem with them. As a matter of fact you can usually find nice domains in .info with the main site keyword built right in.

    good luck

Domain extension doesn't have any bearing on site's SEO. .com is a preferred extension for many mainly from the branding point of view. It may be a different scenario though in case of ccTLDs in regional search engines.

Yes they are fine. .infos are cheap so are the general TLD used by black hat spammers hence are a watched ext. But that doesn't mean you will get penalized. I believe it is easier to be a BH with a .com than a .info. I don't have proof for this as I am a white hat but it is what I think.
But back to your question. .infos are fairly easy to index in Google. I find that they are harder to index in msn at first but I have got them indexed there too. If you get some good quality links Google will index it within a few hours.

Depends, On how much traffic you are targeting, cause not all are familiar using .NET, .Info etc , they are mostly looking for .com

.info's are bad for returning visitors, people will prefer visiting directly a .com website

    True atleast for me.

Just think.. a few bucks more = .com

.com's are more marketable and .info.. don't you also feel that when you see a .info domain, you automatically think it's a cheap site? or MFA?
