    You can also try AppServ, http://www.appservnetwork.com/, to do local testing. And for easy learning online, I would suggest the PHP section of W3Schools: http://www.w3schools.com/php/default.asp .

    But there is no better way of learning PHP then going to your local bookstore and purchasing a book on PHP. Look for thick books written by well known authors that have years of experience with PHP.
