info needed on adsense possibilities

I run a fairly new website that at the moment has close to 100 pages, and growing every week. It is a publication that focuses on combat sports and offers a variety of interview and articles. We get a large portion of traffic from the Philippines, but the site is in english.

this month we are averaging the following:

    2000 page views / day

    1000 visits / day

    32000 hits / day

what kind of revenue could I expect to earn if I used the adsense program with these types of stats?

should I consider focusing the advertising on my filipino readers/users?

Is there possibly a better alternative I should look into. I was considering doing an affiliate thing with a sportsbook or gambling site. Is this a good idea?

any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks!

This depends on the way you add adsense to your site. If your focus is putting up ads everywhere on your pages, especially in the so-called 'Hot-Spots', to get as many clicks with a high CTR, then you can earn around 30 - 40 $ easily every day with this traffic... could be more (depends on the type of content you have on your pages and how well paying those keywords are)

I am asuming you have around 1000 unique visitors every day.

If you dont make the ads prominent, you could end up earning somewhere around $5 or $8 each day.

Would recommend you open up your own thread :)

jbomb, you could do pretty good with this traffic! I would suggest working on optimising and putting ads in the hotspots as rosiee mentioned.

That is a pretty hard question to answer. It all depends on how much work you do promoting your site, how well designed your site is for SEO, and whether or not you have good content to keep visitors coming back.

For me, the more pages/content that is created for my site, the more visitors I get (from search engines). But it is not just quantity of pages, but probably more importantly is the quality.

    Hope this helps.

Well your answer depends on a bunchload of factors like cost of your keyword, clickthru rate, how long your visitors stay on your site and so on

    well,

our traffic has been steadily increasing, and I anticipate that it will increase more and more over the next few months as the word spreads about our site.

we have been getting an extremely favorable response and our traffic is increasing greatly month to month.

our first month we had 2400 visits.

our second month we had 11000 visits.

our third month we had 16000 visits.

and this month we already have 27000 visits.

I anticipate that we will break 50000 visits in the next few months.

as far as SEO goes, its something that I'm working on.

I think that the site is setup pretty good to get good SE results if I implement it properly, but as of right now most of our promotion is done on a guerrilla style level (promotion/links on other related forums), word of mouth, as well as some very credible and high traffic sites linking to our content and pages.

can anyone give me any thoughts on a alternative revenue generating idea that may be more lucrative. I was thinking of possibly doing an affiliate thing with a sportsbook/gambing site. Is this a good idea?

Thanks a lot for all your comments!

    I really appreciate the feedback.

I am assuming you plan to monetize the site with Adsense and is wondreing how much you can possibly make since you posted this question in the Adsense forum. There is no real answer, as I highly doubt anyone is in the same "sports combat" as you, and without knowing the niche, telling you your potential earnings is simply uneducated guesswork. Having said that, if you do plan to use Adsense in conjunction with other advertising, be very mindful that Adsense doesn't allow gambling advertisement on the same page as its Adsense ads.
