    Hi All

.info domains, are they any good? I have a few and they never seem to do as well as .com and .net domains in the search results.

Is this likely to improve with time or stay as it is?

Are there any examples of .info domains doing well in the search results for good keywords?

    James

With the help of the domains your target market can be predicted. If it's a com domain then it can be said as US/universal target and if a UK domain means targeted audience were in UK. It's an added advantage for those sites in that search engines. But, what can be the info domains be. This might be a disadvantage/reason.

I dont think you should use .info's you have to make much more work with them. Couple dollars saving just isnt just worth it, I think.

Info domains always gives you disadvantage if you start seo from beginning, but if the domain and website has a descent age it doesnt matter so much.

I would go with "etc". If you do proper and strong seo any domain can beat other domains. But time and efforts both are needed in a huge amount and ya with quality.

.info domains can do well in the search results for good keywords if you have really good websites. but .com is better for you to start a new site

i do not think .info will be any good in Google result as it is mostly used by spammer and it has no authority such as .com or .org or .edu at all.

.info can only be as good as the SEO that uses it. If all things were equal .com is the same thing. You might try acquiring more backlinks.

A .info will rank exactly the same as a .com given the same amount of backlinks, seo, etc. Anyone who states differently doesn't know what they are talking about. More .info are spam sites so, on average, they don't have the same time and effort put into them as many .coms - but there is no difference in ranking if everything is equal.
