i was thinking ti buy .info domain as they are cheap in first buy. but i heard they are not so good is it true ??
in terms of search engines, all TLDs are treated equal. if you find a keyword rich info domain name that is not available in .com or .net, then by all means go for info domains. it all depends on how you promote the site. for branding purposes, com and net work better than info (there is no logic behind it, its pure psychological) but if you are gonna be relying on PPC or organic search engine traffic, then it will not make any difference
"not so good" is a very vague description. functionally speaking, they are absolutely identical to any other TLD. practically speaking however, they are considered to be one of the "less desired" TLDs vs .com and .net
if you have development plan then go for it suitable keyword with .info tld works well with seo if you want to flip domains fast probably a bad choice
not so good for what? as said above, for flipping site .info is not so good but if you want to develop an info website, I think it's good, in fact .info is cheaper than TLDs. so, the choice is yours
Tlds will not make much of a difference if you intend to develop the site well and for your own purpose/benefit for a very long while! No doubt .coms are easy to remember for a layman but if your effort is dedicated, your visitors would get used to your .info tld as well! Regards, RightMan
I dont understand why would it be "not so good" I mean the SEO treats all the tld`s equally...so it is just that the ending is not .com or .net or whatever But there are some that only remember domain name (e.g. aaa) and do not remember the ending (.info) and type in .com or .net or .org...that can be a little confusing for the searcher
just matter of trends..com is more popular than any domain. and .info is cheap, that's why people keep thinking it's a bad thing. i have .info domain and make $50 on first month.
I am having a lot of keyword Info domains.. I already got an offer for a few, but the buyer wants me to appraise them. Moral: INFO are GOOD, if you develop them well
Unfortunately, .info are cheap only first year. Imho .info domains are worthy if they are really good valuable keywords.
If you turn it into a decent site then you shouldn't have too many problems with a .info, though many people don't respect .info sites as because it is the cheapest some people seem to think that reflects the owner of the site. Alot of people link .info's with scams but if you're not selling anything that shouldn't be a problem for you. But keep that in mind if you do decide to sell something of some sort or promote something on your site. As long as your site is made well and doesn't look cheap as a .info sometimes suggests it won't affect you negatively. Also most people would look down on .info sites simply because .com is the most well known and so many people assume the site is less reliable if it is anything else. But as I said before it shouldn't affect a good site too much.
i think .com domains are most popular than .info but these things are not important in seo page rank.seo page rank is depending on domain names and their website content.so you can buy .info and develop them.
.info's are fine..You can rank in SEO just as you would with any .com If your site is worthy it will rank.. Best Wishes
