Will INFO domains go up in the market, if yes, when? For example: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=219400 is great but what's it worth?
I had no idea egal meant equal in German when I posted that name on the available names list. I noticed one German .info in the NameBio.com database: Uhren.info $2,151 2006-02-21 Sedo The reason I posted it as available was because it looked good as eGal.info, and eTeens.info sold for 77 bucks. .infos are gaining popularity, especially since they continue to have low registration fees, and the only applications you can't really use them for are commercial ones. So, if you are planning on registering a ton of .infos and trying to flip them, though, you should probably save your money and buy some revenue generating .coms.
I guess it will take a while before the .info domain names are widely accepted but in time, it is possible that they can get popular. I believe the reason why the domain name registrars are offering .info cheaply now is so as to jumpstart their usage by prompting people to try them and once they signed up, hopefully they will retain the names long term. In the end, what is deem valuable would be determined by the eyes of the beholder.
