.info domain with hosting from US but targeted for UK ?

    Hi, I heard location of IP address as well as domain extension affects the ranking .

    I am targeting UK audience with .info domain hosted from US.


    Can you tell me how I can effectively target UK users ?

    what about adding a metatag <HTML LANG=en-GB> ???


    please advise.;

    1. Move hosting to UK based IP

    and/or

    2. Register ukTLD and redirect your .info to .co.uk (better than 1.)

    but preferably both as non ukTLD domains seem to be dropping in the UK only Google SERPs recently.

    Google has confirmed that if the site is either a .co.uk or hosted in the UK they will count it as a UK site.

    and if that won't do please recommend me a UK hosting company where i can host multiple domains and have cPanel installed especially fantasico...

    fasthost.co.uk is a good hosting company, well it is the biggest one in uk :)
