influence of hosting geographical location for MSN still relevant?

    IS HOSTING LOCATION STILL MAINLY RELEVANT FOR MSN?

    Hello all
    We have an italian site about a local business in tourism.
    Local searches are important for us , also in MSN.

    I'd like to move the vps hosting in Usa but I'm concerning about the influence of this on seo for msn expecially.

    I've read a lot about it and I know that for G and Y this influence may not be crucial.

    I've tried to check hosting location of first 10 sites on our local keyword (agenzia di viaggi = travel agency )and the first 8 are hosted locally.

    Can you please give me a suggestion and share your previous experiences?

    i know that hosting location influences google searches in the uk, sites hosted in the uk are more favoured in the local searches than sites in usa im not sure about msn. if your targeting locals audience id try and host in your country

    hosting is a part of geotargetting.. it is not totally dependent.
    Hosting, country specific links , TLD comes into account.
