I've heard that first page on digg bring around 20,000 visits, on slashdot 70,000 visits but after few days traffic go down to what have you had before digg/slashdot article. I wonder does anyone notice long term influence of digg and slashdot? Gaining in links and long term traffic from those links? I'm sorry if this is not the best forum for this message.
I posted a web application I made (mystickies.com) and recieved about 50k hits overall from digg. The main benefit in terms of SEO which isnt really something we worry about for that was the fact that a bunch of people saw it on digg than blogged about it so we recieved hundreds of backlinks from that.
