Last year, this infamous spammer got a lot of talk here at DP.

Top10Search (dot) com (no link spam for you, you rat)

and now he's got topauto10 (dot) com (you damn spam rat) as well

    Again with the Spam Sites
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=104256

    and

    New SPAM sites...billions of results!!!!
    http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=104256

And, as I'm doing my rounds, and checking out Google properties, I found that he/she/it is doing it again. The spam rat!

    http://www.searchmash.com/search/blogs:outdoor+furniture+cushions

Last year, he used a combination of sub-domain cloaking and forum and blog spamming to get HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS of page indexed. However he used his own (I think) domain to work from.

However, this year, he's using blogspot as his domain.

    For instance

mb-accomm (dot) blogspot (dot) com points to his "Search results"

    And I found him here

    http://www.searchmash.com/search/blogs:outdoor+furniture+cushions

Searchmash is a Google property. When is Google, and the other SE's, next?

What really frightens me is that I use blogger, and I'd hate to think that blogger users might suffer (in the form of links having no weight) when we want to link to trusted resources.

I have no idea if he's really using the blogger site, or just spoofing the domain, but it does scare me that blogspot url can be used like that.

Do you really think a link in a thread of large forum is going to make any impact on www.Top10Search.com ??

No, and your right. I'm probably being very niave about this, and maybe something that I shouldn't even draw attention to. However, and this is just me being all righteous and stuff, I just don't want to give a link to a spam site that has taken some hard earned SERP positions in the past.

Overt spam of this kind is, I think, important to note. And the fact that he's using a domain url that is LOST in over 13 million indexed urls is a little troubling.

But your right, I don't think linking to him will help him in anyway.

I'm sorry if I acted like a big dummyhead rumblepup.

This has been going on since blog spam and splogging was invented. Some people just do it on a more industrial scale.

where have you been over the last 2 years? blogspam is nothing new, and if you look around a bit at dp you also find a lot of guys with blogspam/mfa in their sigs, like blogs with nothing more than some free articles about meso (yeah right, as if they had any own knowledge or relation to this topic...), viagra, mortage, loans...

Oh, I've seen hundreds of blogspot spam sites, but this one isn't just spammy posts or whole pages worth of spam content.

These are urls being redirected to spam results.

And yes, maybe I never noticed this before, and have been ignorant of this. It just struck me as freaky that a Google property like blogger could be used in this fashion. And indexed!

Again, it might mean nothing, or nothing new, or something that Google has complete control of, and I'm just showing my niavete. I'm sorry if that's the case.

I just wanted to do my part so that things like this are noted, and we see the abusers for who they are, before they get BILLIONS of indexed pages again.

Thanks guys, for at least letting me know that it's noted.

Yeah the big G seems to be paying less and less attention to blogs, so now it will get even worse. I started out a blog as a rant and then started to slip into using it to pretty much only advertise my site, I have since deleted the posts that seemed spammy. I've now gone back to just using it as a rant to vent and just have one small banner to my main site.
