Inexed, but no Serps

I have ranked really well off of my first article, but the subsiquent ones are not showing up in serps (phrase + domain name) but are showing up in site:domain.com

The article that is ranking, is linked from my home page, has a snippet from the article, and an H1 tag. I'm starting to think that is the only reason that it is ranking *fairly new site, just got over 100 links back*.

The articles that aren't ranking have a higher competition (although shouldn't have a higher competition for "phrase + mydomainname.com" in my mind...)

Is it that I just don't have the link juice (23 links back on each article) or is this a sandbox type symptom?

You should really give it some time. Keep publishing unique content and build backlinks slowly.
Your internal pages won't rank very high right now because your site is brand new.
I know it's hard but you have to be patient and wait until you gain some authority in Google :)

    Alright.

I had stopped plugging in new content, in the hopes of getting what I already had to rank (and finding out firsthand what it takes)

But it seems to come back to content and user experience, I suppose that I should get my writer whip out and get cracking on some more articles, while "ignoring" google.

I would suggest you go out and do some web 2.0 promotion. Use free web 2.0 sites like squidoo, hubpages, etc and link back to your website with your keywords in the anchor text.

This will kickstart your rankings, and should also bring you some traffic as well.

    Good luck!

    Cheers

Dont worry about it. Keep publishing your articles and in time everything will fall into place.

This is especially true if your site is new. It could take a couple of weeks to months before google really starts to index and list your sites pages. If you have not done so, I also suggest submitting your RSS feed to a few RSS directories.

Actually if you do some serious web 2.0 promotion it doesn't take weeks or months, often it's days! or a single day.

It does depend on the competitiveness of the keywords you are using of course, but web 2.0 sites are so powerful they can pull a brand new domain to page one in 24 hours in many cases.

Sometimes it is slower, but why not try it for yourself and judge for yourself the results.

    Good luck

    Cheers

Yeah, i have been able to get Serps in as little as 3 hours on this site using web 2.0 link building, but all of a sudden it stopped working oO.

I'm now doing blog article + article submission link building on top of the social bookmarking stuff... We'll see how it goes.

I created an account on hubpages, created a hub, and before I could even start adding content, the hub was flagged as being overly promotional - it only had one link on the page, and a single RSS feed.

The hub was less then 20 minutes old, I was still working on it, and I got flagged. If thats how hubpages treats new members AS their trying to set their page up - no thanks. It looks like their moderators are very over zealous. How are people supposed to build a hub if its flagged before they can even add content. Bah....
