    Awesome videos... :)

    I'll check'em out.

I believe an individualist is a person who thinks for himself and makes his own decision, for personal growth or profit.

A collectivist is a person who thinks or acts for the benefit of the community and blindly follows society's dogmas.

Most of the time, I am an individualist. Thinking, disagreeing, rebelling, trying to be different, doing stupid things just because no one does it... quite a prick sometimes. It is something that gives me a feeling of self-worth.

Being different. It feels like being alive... At such times, I am an individualist...

When it comes to my family and friends, I am a collectivist. I work for their happiness and satisfaction. My family and friends have a stake in my success. And I live for them. At such times, I am a collectivist.

I haven't watched the videos yet (but I'll check them out.)

I don't identify myself as either. I don't believe in this black and white sort of terminology. It's the same thing sort of thinking that makes people think there's either a free market or communism. In reality there's somewhere in between where most people find themselves.

I believe in individualism as far as individual civil liberties and the ability for people to start their own businesses and choose their own career paths etc.

But I also believe in a societal "safety net" and a societal structure that allows everyone in the society at least a chance at success. I also believe that society should protect the weak from the strong. In our society the strong are the rich & the corporations and the weak are the "normal" individuals.

So I do not think there's this line where you are either on one side or another side. I believe there's a continuum that more accurately represents the way a society really works.

I'll get back with another post after I watch the videos.

Wow! I watched these videos and they are AMAZING! Thank you very much Nate for these videos. I loved them. Perfect.

The main question that we must answer is... why is the world moving towards collectivism even though it is an abusive system that can never succeed? Why do governments around the world continue to grow in size and power? Why aren't people asserting their rights?

I have a theory about it...

The reason the governments are growing is because the majority of people want the government to grow. People like to get freebies. The world population jumped from 1 Billion in 1800 to 7 Billion today. Thats 700% growth in only 200 years. This rapid population growth has resulted in mass poverty. So, people are flocking towards socialism and collectivism. They like the idea of a strong government taxing the "greedy corporations" and giving it to them.

Atleast the countries that came out from the British Raj system evolved into collectivist states... as far as I can observe...

Poverty is the root of all evil...
