Indie filmmaker trying to break in on the web

    Hi everyone,

    This is my second post, because my whole reason to register was to reply to an article a post that helped me tremendously.

    I'm an indie filmmaker, and I currently run two websites:

    Cinema Advanced - Where I give tips to indie filmmakers.
    And
    Killer Film - Horror Reviews - A movie review website that centers around horror...but we sorta do whatever we want.

    Sadly, I can't link to them yet as I'm still a n00b.

    I'm also about to start a webseries, or possibly more than one. I'm a decent programmer, but I'm really new to the whole web marketing stuff, so I'd appreciate any advice I can get. I know I'll be floating around this forum over the coming weeks asking for help now and then.

    Thanks. On the marketing side I'm starting to find that that even though I'm in nearly the same niche, they are on polar extremes.

    Ranking and getting organic traffic for Cinema Advanced, my tips website, is really easy. But actually producing the content is so time consuming that I can barely make a post a day. I get usually about 10/visits per day on it.

    On the other side, I've got no end to the amount of people willing to write for free for Killer Film, but trying to rank for horror film related keywords is a nightmare (at least for a n00b like me). I get about 80 to 100/day on killer film.
