    rightly said...
i was watching the place where these bhivani guys used to practise boxing...its in ruins. The place is a nightware for anyone. Without any electricity/water supply, not even a good path to reach the building. Only 1 boxing rink and 2-3 unching bags.

Now the government is giving awards to the winners but its not considering the fact that they did this without any help from the government itself. Its a shame!

If the government spent as much money on its athletes as other countries did, then they would get a ton more.

Yes you are right, Here in India Goverments enjoy Cricket Success more then other sports but there are many players who have records in different sports but they hardly get something.

I read that Laxmi Mittal will spend money on them and they want to see best performance in London 2012.

Instead of buying these IPL teams, all these corporates and celebs should buy some sport..to promote.
they are just their money on cricket...and not thinking about the country as a whole. Our national sports is endangered, nobody cares about that.

Proud but seeing china's medal whose population is same as ours, one medal is something to be ashamed of.
They should promote other sport other than cricket and other boring stuff

    Yes!
China spend money on their players and also people support their players while in India if you Cricket match then hardly few people will support them. Cricket is killing other Sports.

Indian football team won a tornaments and qualify for Asia Cup but I bet hardly few people knows it. That it the truth. We people also need to support them.:)

Well people here watch Cricket full days and when they won something we cheers for them but one fact which many people not know that this is BCCI team and BCCI declared in Supreme Court during ICL vs BCCI case.

If we can cheers for all sports then they can do better.

How many people of know that Dola Banerjee hold a World Record? Only Few!

Tell me honestly how many hours you have seen?

One of the best example of our support is Indian football team win AFC Challenge Cup and qualify for Asia Cup 2011 but no media or papers cover the story.:(
