My frnd just purchased an Ipod Worth $200 frm Ebay.com to India

i.e USA TO INDIA

Do you have any idea about how many customs he will be charged on arrival to india ?

No Custom Duties will be charged
I get shipments every month and they are marked free as long as they are less than worth $250

but if they label it as sold item then face a bunch of $$ to pay !

Prepare to pay 30% custom if not a gift item and courier service
17% if by regular post.

I believe people selling from ebay know all this stuff already and mark each shipment as Gift Item..
