    My frnd just purchased an Ipod Worth $200 frm Ebay.com to India

    i.e USA TO INDIA

    Do you have any idea about how many customs he will be charged on arrival to india ?

    No Custom Duties will be charged ;)
    I get shipments every month and they are marked free as long as they are less than worth $250

    There will be no custom duty if theres a label with "Gift Item".

    If its labled as GIFT ITEM then congrats NO DUTIES

    but if they label it as sold item then face a bunch of $$ to pay !

    I believe people selling from ebay know all this stuff already and mark each shipment as Gift Item..
