Indians - Is it safe to use Paypal for auto-payments to webhosts, etc?

I had switched all monthly recurring payments to Paypal from August 2009, after RBI made it mandatory for all Indian credit cards to use an extra verification step for online txns.

With the new mess, is it safe to use Paypal as the payment system for monthly payments (like webhosting), etc?

Currently the companies I use (eg, hostgator) automatically debit my Paypal account for hosting charges every month. Hostgator deducted this month's charges two days ago -- no reversal by Paypal till the time of writing.

And if I want to switch back to credit cards, do Indian credit cards still work with hosts like hostgator (because of the requirement to use the secret online PIN)?

    Thanks and regards,

    Hi,

Recently I used my credit card to pay for a domain in GODADDY. I didn't have any problem. Hope you'll also have no problem.

Kittyluver, thanks for the input. I also just finished a Namecheap txn using a credit card without problems.

Maybe the webhosts too will be able to accept credit cards...if we continue to rely on Paypal, we may be left without a business.

    Thanks,
    SM
