    Hi all Indian friends,

I'm looking to apply for a credit card and need some feedback/suggestions regarding which one to apply for.

    My needs :

    1. Ability to create virtual cards (HDFC, Axis bank allows this as far as I know; any more?)
    2. Low yearly fees (free for life if possible).
    3. Good customer support and honest practices.
    4. Online login access if possible. (View statements, dues, etc.)
    5. Cash back option if possible.

A family member has the HDFC bank value plus cashback card and the experience has so far been good. He had been getting decent cash backs but recently HDFC changed TOS that cashback only if >7500 is due.

However, I want to look for other options as well.
Looking forward for your suggestions and experiences.

You can apply for HDFC bank Silver or Gold Credit card IMO.

    1. Ability to create virtual cards - Yes
    2. Low yearly fees (free for life if possible) - They provide free for life
    3. Good customer support and honest practices. - Their customer support is really good.
    4. Online login access if possible. (View statements, dues, etc.) - You can view your statements, pending dues etc. details through net banking.
    5. Cash back option if possible. - Check this with their site as don't know much about this thing.

    DON.

Yeah, I've seen latest offerings from Kotak, but not sure if they offer virtual card generation.

Thanks for all the inputs, friends! :)

So, it seems that offerings from HDFC, Axis Bank and Kotak would satisfy my needs.

I have some confusions to clear up from the above posts:
    1. It's not certain that HDFC cards are free for life as their site shows joining + annual fees.
    2. I'm doubtful if HDFC allows netbanking login for credit cards; I guess it's only for bank accounts.
    3. It seems Kotak allows netcard creation from bank balance, not using credit card yet.

My personal preference is HDFC - Silver/Value Plus, still looking for other options as well. I've heard Axis Bank is not at all good for credit cards (statements don't reach, false charges, etc.)

To all guys, what card do you have and summary of your experiences, things to avoid and be alert about?
