What the hell does that mean? Do you even know, or are you just blindly quoting without thinking for yourself like most feeble, weak minded racists do?
I'd imagine, if enough people did it, and requested it from the higher-ups at the airport, they would... Keeping America American? I think it's got something to do with "Give us your poor, your tired, your huddled masses"... He's probably discussing an illegal immigration issue in the wrong thread...
Hi north, I just gotta say this, the majority who read these articles, saw the word "Muslim" in them. That's what triggered them to blame the Muslims for the sinks. The fact still remains the same, the airport provided the sinks willingly because they saw the "health risks" that presented due to the washing of feet. The taxi drivers didn't request any sinks nor did any other Muslim who comes to that airport. As you read already, people use bottles to wash their feet.. As for providing for other religions, I am all for it if the public agrees BUT I say again, this issue with the sink has nothing to do with religion.
Then you honestly wouldn't object if a homeless guy comes in to cleanse himself before taking part in the airport concessions?
Hey. I just started a new thread about Islam. That's because of your suggestion and north's request that we keep this thread on the topic. Which baffles me a little because we would not have this thread if it wasn't for the muslim dudes.
You said this has nothing to do with religion, but with public health. If that is the case, then these sinks should be able to be used by anyone, for any purpose that contributes to public health. Hence, I think it is a legitimate question - if these sinks are not in place for a religious purpose, then may not anyone, for any reason, cleanse themselves before heading into the airport?
It became a religious debate over the merits and substance of Islam v. Christianity. Which wasn't the topic of the thread.
You mean wash themselves sure. I don't see a problem with it and I don't think majority of Muslims would see any problem.
OK, fair enough. If this is true, and muslims really don't have a problem with the non-faithful washing in your ablution sinks, then my problem isn't with the sacred/secular issue as much as a logistical one, which is that airports shouldn't really be providing public wash facilities, should they?
I wonder if it would be ok for Jews to use these basins to wash their feet. I mean if it would be ok for them to wash in these basins installed for muslims only.
I am making the presumption M5 is speaking truthfully, that it isn't a big deal to muslims if non-believers use the same sinks. If so, I've learned something I didn't know. If not, that's between M5 and his conscience.
Jews come from Abraham's son Isaac, the child he had with his wife and arabs (not muslims) come from Abraham's child with his maid. muslims come from muhamad, it isn't a race.
