Hello friends, i am one of the admins of this website http://www.discusstv.com . It is primarily a Indian TV shows related website with a forum , gallery a reviews section etc . Recently we have lost quite a bit of traffic and are looking forward for all critical replies and suggestions. So please be as rude and analytic as you can be We probably know some of the reasons but still looking forward to hear as much as you have to say . thanks .
it's agood website, very little in terms of layout but that works well i think, it's really simple to use, the top header seems a little faded but i like the look of the website, well played
thanks for the comments buds ... some specific points , i want some comments if that is allowed . earlier we had latest photos from the gallery, but we removed it due to the load it was causing on the server . would you consider it a important element to have on the homepage ? also we have currently latest posts on the homepage but no mention about the difefrent channels or the reviews section . again , would it be important in comparison with cluttering up the homepage ? another important thing : We have around about 3 seperate SKINS , which many of the users like .i.e having a choice . But for us , in administration, it is a pain in the neck to upgrade , install modifications or keep a common design / layout for all the skins . We are thinking of keeping / using a single skin which will also be in same theme with the rest of the site . Give your inputs on that as well , whoever runs a forum based site . thx
Revamp your homepage design so that it refects the 'forum look' of your interior pages. Since the interior pages are different colors I would paritally 'color accent on rollover' your global nav buttons to match the interior page it is linked to. Like this > (milonic.com/menusample52.php). I would also display the TV logo as a high rez PNG and overlay in your header. It does look a little ratty or blurred. Tighten things up vetically. You have too much unused browser real estate.
i would also love to have a menu like that , but integrating such a menu in IPB ... just have not tried it ever .
