Indian Social Networking Site, 14,000 Members, Quick Sale. Cheap.

I bought this site www.mallu5.com about 8 months ago and haven't had time to really do much with it. I did update the sites script to phpfox because the prior script had a bunch of bugs. During the switch the site was down for a good amount of time and that was the start of traffic declining. Also, the traffic declined because of my neglecting it. Lesson learned: don't buy a social networking site if you don't have time to work on it.

www.mallu5.com has had more than 14,000 members join and was getting good traffic until just before we changed the script. Here are the traffic stats from Oct to now. We lost the stats from before Oct somehow during the transfer:

The income is only about a buck a day or so from adsense. At one time it was consistantly making $5 to $7 a day.

I will take a huge loss with this sale but that is my loss and your gain. Right now it isn't going anywhere and I don't have the time to get it back to where it once was. I do think it could be resurected with someone who can spend the time it deserves. If you are Indian I am sure it will help.

Mallu is a slang for the people of Kerala which is a southwestern part of India. There are some real good members on the site.

Here is the terms of this auction:

*$500 minimum starting bid.

*$2000 reserve, although I may accept a lower bid.

*$4000 BIN. I may lower this. I know it is high for the income but the amount of past users, 14,000, and branding ( it is known among Indians online )should count for something. Believe it or not this is still lower than what I paid for it. Like I said, my loss is your gain. I have done well with many other sites so this is alright.

Wait it had 14,000 users or it still does? When you upgraded scripts did you delete the old database?

 

I wish i had that amount, good luck with sale, but I think u spend a big amount with adwords right ?

 

When we upgraded we lost some files. Mostly files from the forum. The members are still there. However, most aren't active anymore. I really think the members could come back with the right owner, which isn't me. :-(
If you join the site you will see some activety there.

The script has a lifetime license and that cost me $300. It is transferable. I asked phpfox already.

 

I am not spending any on adwords at the moment and haven't in a few months.
