Well, I did buy the Reliance Netconnect+ Wireless. Paid 3500.

But (not being superstitous though) - I fell sick the same as the card was delivered. :(

I am getting a speed of 180 KB/s constant on downloads which is 1.4 Mb/s which I believe is pretty good.

    Nice for a wireless.

Reliance is not reliable at all. Don't go for it.

If you reside near their towers, you could get good speed (some report around 1mbps on average).
Once you cross the bandwidth limit, its really expensive. Both the operators used to charge 2 Rupees per MB which is really exorbitant. (Tata Photon has now changed to 50 paise per MB). Hope reliance would reduce their prices to maintain the competition.

However wired line broadband should always be preferred unless you are a frequent traveler or there is no feasibility of getting a wired connection.

The best option is to take BSNL evdo as they take only Rs.650 for unlimited usage and also better speeds than others ! :D

Now roaming facility is also available in them !

And remember, these wireless broadband services work only in the areas where special towers are installed for these services.

Never go for BSNL, their customer support sucks.

I suggest you that you should use BSNL broadband because I can trust on that as I am using that.

I bought it 2 weeks back.
I am getting around 800kbps to 1.50mbps speed.
Here is a screenshot of the speedtest result>>>

But it is really slow after 10pm (maybe because of network congestion). But not a problem for me as I work only during daytime.
