    Hi,

Does any Indian Member here ever paid/dealt with custom duties while receiving gift/product from countries like US?

I wanted get myself iPod touch, camera etc etc (long list :p ) off amazon for this holiday season but afraid of that Indian Duties might kill me. Some say you don't have to pay and some say u have to pay like 35% of the product value. I was completely ignorant that their might be duties and now I have shoes, clothes and my graphics card lying and waiting at my US address :(

i too wanted to order the o2 exec phone from london but i was so scared of this duty clearance, duties and all shit, i decided to turn the thought off.
u never know what can they ask u.

there are dozens of duty clearance agents in my city so it means, they definately gonna charge.
