Being the owner of listed.co.in where many portfolio holders of .in and .co.in submit there names for extra exposure. we have been asked quite a few times now to be a mediator in domain sales through our site.. I can not obviously give the names that sold but the trend is the sale prices are getting higher and higher each time.

Also the names that go on to sell via sedo also are getting higher. This is not just .in the established .co.in is also bringing in some big hitters and sales.

So do not just limit yourself to .in names remember the .co.in has been in India for quite sometime and many Indians feel the .in is purely a gimick for the west to create hacked names like come.in, drive.in etc

the majority of traffic we get for .co.in names on our servers is coming from India. where .in the majority is US and UK traffic.

Some good names in the post my advice is to hang on to the names the end of 2007 and then 2008 will be the beginning of some good times for indian domain portfolio holders.

I would like to correct you there. Its actually not like that.
No doubt .co.in is good enough but nothing beats .in
Its quite obvious and but natural that one [dot] is much much better than having 2 [dot]s in your domain.

And nobody cares if they consider it as .internet because everybody knows that .in is for .india

 

I use whiz.in. You can use paypal for buying domain names and they are cheap reseller of directi.

 

I know some LLL.in domains which are really good and available .
