Indian Bank Debit Cards! Worked?

    Hello Folks,
    My brother is doing Bachelors in India
    As you guys know the PayPal's new trouble to we guys!
    Can someone say that which Indian Bank Debit Cards are getting verified in PayPal
    Also he is a student so only i not risking him to open a CC


    How about HDFC No Frills account?? and using its Net Safe Feature for Transaction?

    Or else can you suggest some best option?

    You cannot use debit card from any Indian bank, do not waste your time.
    HDFC Net Safe works but it is not permanent. if you want to open a permanent account
    with paypal it is possible only with CC.

    You can send money through CC or VCC .. no other option available ,

    If you have HDFC savings account, then simply log on and create Netsafe Virtual credit cards.

    No savings account needs some quaterly turnover of 2500INR or somethings!
    No Frills needs such things!
    So why cant we use No Frills account

    Yes, why won't it work as its also a Credit Card only. :)

    And for No Frills account you need to have no bank account at any bank.

    Found a Good Option
    Open a new savings account and gave 50000INR FD!
    Then it will be zero balance account
    Then apply for International Debit Card = RS 500 then you can use NetSafe

    If you open 50000 INR FD in beginning then you'll get zero balance account but you need to keep that FD intact to avail zero balance facility.

    Just go for icici bank CC they are offering it against 20000 Rs FD you will get instant credit card same day after depositing FD. i got it today.... :)

    No its not always. You just need to deposit it at the beginning and then you can keep it low. But yes they do charge Rs.850 for a period of three months if you don't maintain your Average Quarterly Balance. :)

    Yep!
    Better do a 50K FD in HDFC and get the Debit Card with Netsafe Feature
    Also regarding ICICI CC
    We cant believe CC they can over charge you any time

    Since my Dad was manager in Bank he said that not to go to CC at any cost since they interest may add up and work upto 36%

    go for students HDFC NO Frills AC. 0 Balance. then use NetSafe for CC Purchase.

    these days all Indian Banks provide CC Against Rs. 20000 FD.

    Can I deposit 15,000 rupees and spend the whole amount using Netsafe VCC ?

    Is the VCC, Visa or MasterCard ?
