India US nuclear deal.

If the deal goes through, the US will provide India access to civilian nuclear technology, and supply nuclear fuel to India. Despite India not being a signatory to the non proliferation treaty.

There is an acute power crisis in India. Suburbs of even cities like Mumbai deal with daily power cuts for hours.

The communist party of India opposes the deal because it fears that India, historically a non-aligned state, will become a slave to the US & it's policies, and views the deal as a threat to India's foreign policy sovereignty.

    What do you think?
