why did India lose in the fifth and final ODI after doing so well in winning three consecutive matches?

Do you think it was overconfidence or for taking it lightly?

Any comments?

 

Well it happens sometime and rain kill the match and India lost the match fast after rain.

 

They might be thinking of how to enjoy in the party

 

Yes and that day it looks players want to leave ground as fast as possible.

 

Yes you are right they want to celebrate their series win.They do not want to waste their time.

 

I also thought so, once Indian team won the series they were no more interested to win more matches. This is the difference with Australia and other teams. Australians like to whitewash their opponents and other teams simply want to do bare minimum to win a series.

 

Yes they just want to enjoy the last match and want to go for party so all out very fast after rain.

 

They always loose the last match (finals),so nothing surprisingly as series was already won here.

 

Yups we have records of it 18 lost 3 win and 1 tie in last 22 finals.

 

Well its a cricket match, anything can happen... at hatrick can take place, we can see 6 sixes in an over, or we can see the best team lose a series.. its natural.

 

I think the rain disturbed the flow of the match and supported bowlers in second inning.

 

Yes and our batsmen also support Sri Lankan Bowlers very well so they can celebrate series win.

 

lol But the end was not good of the series and no 100 made in this series

Indian spiners were doing very well.M.S dhoni decided to call back fast bowlers which tushara and kulsekara played well till the end which took them to respectible total giving confidence to their bowlers.lastly,playing under the lights was difficult.
