I doubt that it's really the richest country but i'm pretty sure that it belongs to the fastest growing economies right now which is really good. Congratulations :)

Yeah out country is one of the fastest economice counntry but problem is only that our polition are suck and does not allowe more than 50% direct forgin investments. But now many big compaies eye on India to start their work because India is bigger market at the moments and you can sell anything in India.

India is a weird country economically, I saw a programme on Channel 4 called "Dispatches: The Indian Miracle?", here's the brief:

India has the second fastest growing economy in the world and is fast joining the elite group of global superpowers. But underneath the glittering surface of India's economic boom lie the ugly realties of modern day India: mass suicide by debt-ridden farmers, a rise in Hindu nationalism, discrimination against Muslims and a caste system which condemns millions to a life of servitude.

The farmers are very very poor, one had to sell his farm and felt so bad because he failed his 2 children and wife, that he poured petrol over himself and then lit a match. When his wife tried to put his fire out, she blazed in fire too and they both died. Apparently 100,000 farmers have committed suicide recently. It seems like there's a HUGE gap between the third world conditions which the majority of millions are living in, and the super rich middle class bliss which the minority enjoy. Interesting, but shocking.

Well at the momenet this is big issue in India and many states are suffered from these. Goverment improve their polices on the loans and also take many action to control their debt and give better earnings. It takes some time for real results.
