Hi Micheal,
Generally when we submit an ordianry CHQ, it will be sent to the BRANCH to which the account belongs for clearance (verification), but if a chq is "Payable at par all branches" means that chq can be PAYED at all branches, it need not go to the branch where the account belongs to..

Some Indian banks like HDFC, etc offer Payable at par chqs for some valued customers, etc..

Hi All,
Deposited my Chq in ICICI bank on Saturday and the same showed up under available balance in my Online account on Tuesday (That means they have sent the chq for clearance to Citibank). Will update when i get Money in my account. I guess i should get money by Thursday.

ICICI Bank Guys are really Cool.. I deposited cheque on Saturday and sent to clearence on Tuesday, money GOT credited into my account on Tuesday itself.......
