Sounds very selfish and greedy of Bush to say something like that. We continue to get fatter but we blame food shortages on others? Pfftt

I don't accept that you call racist. You should ask sorry. Levampire.

is Levampire punished one day for him bad words ?

It is time that some people start respect the other people.

It is much simple the reason. All World Citizens can't live how American.

NOW WE CAN DO 2 THINGS :

    - to increase number of poor american and european ( we ( USA nd EU ), like stupid, have choosen this )

    or

    - to retun to past. ( no crisis of food... ).

The worldwide population is increasing and Africa alone is expected to add 1 billion people over the next 40 years. People need to consume more vegetables and less meat and animal products.

For the US, it's a good thing to be an exporter of food.

Americans can maintain the same standard of living simply by adding beans to their diet.

Rice and wheat are both grain ;)

India also consumes a lot of bread.

Why is it nuts that increased consumption is causing higher prices?

You never heard of the law of supply and demand?

The US is more than happy to export and has not impossed export restrictions like Russia, Vietnam, India and Argentina.

US is also increasing production to help meet world demand.

The very idea of this is absurd. I think developed countries waste much more food. traditionally Indians dont waste food, they eat whatever they can but dont waste. I think developed countries waste so much food that a few African countries can survive on that food alone. So if Mr President says it is his ignorance. I remember when Mr Bush was elected for the first time he dint know the name of the Prime Minister of the Largest Democracy of the world. So this type of ignorance is not surprising though it is most unfortunate.

Mr. Bush statement is funny. He might be in a joking mode when he made this statement. Because this not a fact.

The world food crisis has nothing to do with any nation its global phenomenon taking place everywhere
Farmers are quitting their jobs and moving to cities in hope of better and more advanced lives, due to increasing human population and decreasing areas under cultivation this situation has came forward.

Global leaders instead of finding a solution are pointing fingers at each other.......

All global crisis needs effort to be solved but people like Mr. Bush are busy pointing fingers and uttering his Bushisms
