India and China internet users

    Hi do people in India and China using internet understand english conversantly? How many percent of the internet users there understand english?

    Some of them actually know how to converse well and their command of English is at advanced level. Never underestimate.

    Well Indians do understand English, but about Chinese people cant say anything.

    A lot of people using the Internet in India can understand English as most of the sites they browse are in English.

    i am from India and english is a compulsory subject in every skool of india. so each kid in india going to skool and passing out can understand english.
    and about china i dont think they teach english to every kid there

    As far as India is concerned atleast over 65% of people know English and even those who are uneducated speak in broken English

    i am from china and i am in canada, there are 1 million chinese or chinese candian here, most of them speak english.
    in china,kids start learn english from 10 years old.if they graduate from college, they get more than 10 years english experience. the truth is the new generation of chinese all speak chinese, but why, there are plenty source of chinese website, we only browse english if we really looking for some info in english. if you guys wanna share those 0.2 billion chinese web traffic, better make a nice chinese website...

    I think many of them can understand English - In this 21st century education is more common then ever before !

    Many of them can write English well but they can't speak it fluently - the reason is English is not their first language , however their try for learning something is awesome !

    Indians and Pakistani's can speak decent level of english. Not sure about Chinese though.
    But English Subject is compulsory in countries like India, Philippines and Pakistan. They have to learn them, till they graduate!
