Indexing ups and downs

    Question for those that might know a little more about the ins and outs of Googles indexing methods.

    I have a site which normally sits at about 36k indexed pages. Last week it dropped to 30k and has been sitting there ever since.

    My question is why? Nothing has really changed so why would it drop off 6k pages off its index?

    One of my sites dropped like crazy too. I don't know why..

    but i donot worry because it happened many times and back again best than before.

    seem like many people got dropped in indexed page. me also drop from 6300+ to around 6000. so they might change something in algorithm.
