Indexing RSS content

    Does Google index RSS pages (mod_rewritten, without any file extension)? Right now when I look at all my pages in G index, the RSS pages seem to be indexed but have "File Format: Unrecognized - <View as HTML>" next to them. Does it mean that the pages will actually be returned for search queries on google.com? If not, what is the optimal way of handling this?
