what do you mean by a page is indexed?

1.I mean if i type the url of that page in google search it should return a result showing that page url ?am i right?

2.If it returns a result like page cannot be found then it means that then page is not indexed? In short its not in google's database?

3.Also if a site is indexed does it mean that all its pages are indexed??

    Seo experts pls reply.........

Use "site:domain.com" in Google to get a list of pages indexed.
