Indexing problem for my website

    Hi there!

I'm new to this community; Google brought me here.
I have a problem with my website: basically Google is indexing only half of my pages.
I've been running this website for almost an year now, and I've tried anything, but still haven't figured out what the problem is.

I've checked the pages with SEO Browser, and they look fine to me: I don't have duplicated canonical URLs, meta tags are okay, and I'm using friendly URLs for all of them. I think I've made all the efforts I could to make my website SEO-friendly. I've also submitted a sitemap to Google containing all those pages through Google Webmaster Tools.

One notable thing is that I also have a message board on that same website (in a subdirectory), and it looks like it's getting indexed fast, while the website isn't.

Any advice would be very appreciated - I'm really running out of ideas at this point, and searches on Google and forums didn't help.
    Thanks in advance!

How old is your site? Those pages that are not yet indexed are they new or old pages?

I launched the website in May 2009. The pages are some months old.

Do you want to share your site so we can have a thorough look? How is your site structured? Are the subpages linked properly?

I thought I couldn't post a link to my website. Is it okay for the admins and mods?

i hope ur site in not in any opensource like wordpress , joomla and all.. if it is built with the use of that. then there will be option there.. some time if you forget to configure that option like "make site visible to search engines"..
then your site will not index.

or check if you have meta robot = no index
if all this are fine. post your domain name .. so i can check your website identify the cause.

Web sites are like houses, you can only move from room to room if there are doors and people can find them :)

If you have created a website with no accessible doors (links) from your main page into the other rooms (other pages) then Google will simply hang out on the main page (index) and that's about it.

Would you like to "see" what the search engines might think of your site? Visit webconfs.com/search-engine-spider-simulator.php and enter your URL.

Also, Google indexes pages on its own terms, so even if the spider has found its way onto your other pages you may very well just have to wait.

Better rely on social networking website if you have site indexing problem. Submit every link, whether new or old posts, into social bookmarking websites.

Try to post in forums, start some link exchange as these are the best way to welcome search engines to crawl your website.

Wow, man you're awesome! I discovered a bug in certain URLs that were clearly causing the problem. That tool is really useful. /bookmarks

    Thanks again to all!
