Indexing of redirected domains

A question for the SEO Experts.

I have some small domains that I just redirect to my existing Webhosting space. For that I use the URL Redirection of the domain provider.

So far I could see the domains used in this way get an own PR and seem to be spidered well by SERP´s.

Do you know if there is any disadvantages of using that technique instead of have an own Domain Webspace (by changing the nameservers and using a cheap webhosting) ?

I could use the cheap webspace but the bandwith is not so good as in the main Hostingprovider that I am using currently.

    Thanks for your feedback,

    Alex

Get a resellers or virtual dedicated server, then you can have pages for all those "small" domains and still be able to build link power for yourself with them.

Hostgator has a very good hosting plan for only 10 dollars a month that lets you host unlimited domains. You simply use the add on button in cpanel to add another domain / website.
