Indexing Matter

Hi all,

If we have a website or search engine with more than a million pages...

but upto now only 60,000 pages has been indexed, even dull in Yahoo...

what should be done for indexing more pages.

 

Do you create a sitemap. If not create a sitemap and submit it to google.

Just google for google webmaster tools

 

Yes, I have did it - both Google Sitemap and Yahoo Sitemap...

but haven't got good indexing results.

 

i think you need more backlinks to increase the indexing speed

 

More backlinks required for indexing more pages. Did you check the supplemental index? May Google thinks other pages are not worth indexing. How do you people reach those pages? Links from the home page?

 

Just promote your site more and you'll be indexed by all search engines.

 

I agree in that you need to check the supplemental indexing but there's also the issue of the uniqueness of your pages - are some of your pages very similar to others? I think that there comes a point where search engines just batch pages together...

 

Yes, maybe the other pages was in the supplemental. If you have more than 1M pages, then it is possible that your page will be in supplemental.

 

you need to promote and have some time to get all indexed!

 

If u hv too many dynemic urls wid long parameters so u shud some shorten, perfectly prepare sitemap XML & wait for enough time. it must be.

 

get more baclinks to subpages !!!! This is best way :d
