Indexing issues - Google cross indexing my site with another

Discussion in 'Google' started by abpanama, Jul 31, 2009.

Until a few days ago my site (www.abpanama.com) was on the page 1 of google for several terms, including "panama real estate" and "panama real estate listings"
Now my site is nowhere to be found?
If I search google for "abpanama.com - I get this result as #1:

    UK - Gas - Electricity - Electricity Supplier - Gas Supplier - Gas ...
Electric meter electric meters electric shaver electric skillet electric stove electric stoves electric supply electric utility electric violins electric ...
    www.abpanama.com/ - Cached - Similar -

I have no idea who or what this site is and how it is linking to my site.

Similarly, if I search "panama real estate listings" on page 3 or 4 this appears:

    UK - Gas - Electricity - Electricity Supplier - Gas Supplier - Gas ...
Smart Meter Technology provides real business energy solutions, saving time and money, it can also improve the effect business has on the environment. more ...
    utilities4u.co.uk/ - Cached - Similar -

Clearly the above site has nothing to do with 'panama real estate listings'
I have contacted my host and the other sites host (different companies) who say it is not their issue

Any ideas - is this a google glitch or virus, or ?? I have tested my site and don;t see any issues, nor does anything show in my google webmaster account
And more importantly, how can I fix it and restore my sites rankings?
I am losing a lot of business and traffic.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Hi,

It seems that your site (index) has also been dropped from Google. There could be several issues involve.

The site that has those "UK - Gas - Electricity - Electricity Supplier - Gas Supplier - Gas ...
Electric meter electric meters electric shaver electric skillet electric stove electric stoves electric supply electric utility electric violins electric ..." is http://utilities4u.co.uk/

Your site has lost ranking for that keywords now you have to work again for that keywords.IMO wait for few weeks and see where your site actually stand then start seo of your website again.

That is really weird. I don't have a concrete answer for you.

Google seems to think your web pages have links to utilities4u:
    http: //www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=link%3Ahttp%3A%2F%2Fwww.utilities4u.co.uk%2F&btnG=Search

Has abpanama dot com recently been hacked? Perhaps iframe injection? What sql injection? Have you been involved with any blackhat SEO?

Your site is not gone from the SERPs but it definitely has been penalized and I don't know why.

Currently in Google you appear #2 for abpanama, #1 for abpanama[dot]com, #131 for panama real estate listings, and you are not listed for panama real estate. In Yahoo and MSN you rank top 10 for panama real estate listings and top 50 for panama real estate.

For some reason Google also seems to think utilities4u has backlinks with the anchor text "abpanama", but I can't find any.

Sorry I couldn't be of more help. Google probably won't help either, but maybe you could address the issue by submitted a request via Webmaster Tools.

Time could probably be the answer, unfortunately. Keep working on your SEO and see where you rank in a week or two. Google might have made a mistake and will correct itself.

Thanks for the input. Definitely no black hat. No evidence of hacking that I can see, no frames. I have already posted in webmaster tools but no help so far. Nothing unusual shows in my google webmaster account. So I'm stumped.

This is odd. Google also seems to think the utilities site is linking to yours. Sounds like server hacking to me.

Your abpanama.com problem is really since serious. I can suggest you want u can do? And if it works let me know.

I checked your website in Yahoo - the Title & description is same
    In bing.com its not indexed??

In Google - things are same as you have stated.

Did you bought a used domain? - google sometimes take dmoz directory listing description and title..still i didnt find your listing in dmoz but add meta data to stop it.

second thing go to mattcuts blog and ask him to help

If i find some other thing i will let u know. Your site must gain the ranking again.

Google is not working good since some time
