Indexed pages of my site vary a lot

    The number of indexed pages from my website varies a lot. A few days ago it was 166.000 pages and now it's only 135.000 pages. Is there any reason why this varies so much? Is it a bad thing?

    My guess is that a lot of your pages have low pagerank or no pagerank at all. If so, those pages may have just been pushed down into Google's supplemental index.

    Yes most have a low pagerank. Any suggestions on how to get a high pagerank if you have 1000's of pages? :p Thanks for the feedback :).
