Guys, i think google data about how many sites they indexed ( 8,058,044,651) is
oooooover dated. Very. Like they'll soon index 18 bln pages,

 

Over dated, or over stated? I would choose the later. Less than 6 months ago it was at: 4,285,199,774

That is double in 6 months... I'm not buying it

 

I would. Given how much energy is being put into doing blogs and RSS feeds (mostly legitimately) and creepy things like The Article Bot (scrape other people's pages and hide that you're doing it? How nice.) I'm sure there's a lot more pages than there used to be.

Now, if you want to talk quality that's a different topic ...

its overstated. one of my sites, google has listed 13,000 indexed pages. There are only about 3000 pages for the site, not that I mind the other 10k, but not sure what they are, or where they come from

It seems to me that google ad or remove 60-70 million pages on finger snap.

 

Same thing happens to me, Lorien. I have a site with 9k pages, today I did a site: check and Google says I have 22k

 

on my largest site indexed pages have gone from 20,400 - 21,800 - 21,300 on Google so nothing much is happening on my site...
