Hey guys, What's the highest number of indexed pages (well, reported via site in Google? Just curious. Thanks, Scott
Not sure but this is interesting... http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...-27,GGLD:en&q=site:www.google.com&btnG=Search or http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2004-27,GGLD:en&q=site:www.yahoo.com or http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...LD:en&q=site:www.digitalpoint.com&btnG=Search
cnn.com has 10 times as many indexed http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2004-27,GGLD:en&q=site:www.cnn.com
DP has 126k The low Google results may have something to do with them being caught cloaking, they later announced that they have deleted a lot of their own pages from their own results, they are setting and example...
This one surprised me: Ebay only has 715 pages indexed in Google: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...04-27,GGLD:en&q=site:www.ebay.com&btnG=Search
I think that's good. Their auctions are short lived and there is no need to feature a bunch of pages which will then lose relevance.
Guess we're not far behind http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...n&q=site:auction.mccoypottery.com&btnG=Search
http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=site:www.google.com&fr=FP-tab-web-t&toggle=1&ei=UTF-8 interesting Yahoo lists 11,7 million pages of Google ^^
Pretty sweet, but it shows more for me. Results 1 - 10 of about 57,200,000 from www.amazon.com for . (0.13 seconds) I think I know why. eBays auctions are on cgi*.ebay.com.. so site:ebay.com shows roughly the right amount. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&...D:2004-27,GGLD:en&q=site:ebay.com&btnG=Search Results 1 - 10 of about 16,900,000 from ebay.com for . (0.10 seconds)
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&c2coff=1&rls=GGLD,GGLD:2004-27,GGLD:en&q=site:google.com when you just check google.com without www. you also get a lot more results!
ic ... that's because it includes all of their subdomains such as directory.google toolbar.google ...
Just ran the same query using your link and got the following results: Results 1 - 10 of about 8,050,000 from ebay.com for . (0.03 seconds) Interesting change.
Still shows "Results 1 - 10 of about 16,900,000 from ebay.com for . (0.06 seconds)" for me, probably just a different DC.
58,000,000 amazon haha, so thats how imdb (amazons movie database) has a lot of sites at #1 #2 in google. haha
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=site:yahoo.com Yahoo has 86,700,000 for me so that would top Amazon
