Indexed pages for a newly acquired domain Value of links?

Not sure this is the right forum but here goes.

I have been offered a domain name by a company that is going out of business. It has a decent set of pages indexed (about 150 over the big 3)but isn't a rocket. The domain is not and has not been parked so a lot of these links are viable still. There are also a good number of directory listings.

What value do they have? Most of them are only going to be hit once before people figure out the site has changed. I either grab them the first time they visit or they are gone. It might make for a good month or two of traffic but after that? I figure some of the directory listings are good for longer.

I would put a site up using the domain name. It would not be offering the same services but would be in a related field. Not apples and oranges. More like apples and applesauce or oranges and orange juice.

Second question would you use 301's to forward to the new site index or create a landing pages with relevant content for the new site with the same name as the indexed page? Aboutus, TOS and FAQ are fairly generic terms.
